Chuckie will be at the helm of Pacha NYC’s Dance Parade float–leading a parade of dancers to celebrate electronic dance music – Dirty Dutch style! The parade kicks off at 1PM at 20th and 21st between Park and Fifth Avenue and heads down Broadway with the house, techno, and disco floats taking you into the heart of the East Village.  The annual event culminates with an eclectic DanceFest in Tompkins Square Park. Find out all the information about New York’s annual Dance Parade, celebrating all types of dance, at www.danceparade.org.

Chuckie has been making a name for himself around the world by putting his signature deep, dirty house sound on remixes for David Guetta, Bob Sinclar and Joachim Gaurraud. His talent for building insanely intense climaxes, then delivering devastatingly explosive beats, is no child’s play. Killer original tracks like “Let The Bass Kick” have launched him into the top 10 British Singles Charts and won him praise from Swedish House Mafia, Laidback Luke and Pete Tong. In summer 2008, David Guetta handpicked Chuckie to play at his event at Pacha in Ibiza, saying “he is mixing the hip-hop vibe with house music like no one else!” Chuckie has won numerous accolades, including the Dutch TMF “Best Dance DJ” Award last year, for which he beat out super DJs Tiësto and Armin Van Buuren. This year, he also won the inaugural Best Remix Data Award in L.A. for his remix of David Guetta’s “Sexy Bitch.”
In 2005, Chuckie created the now-legendary, always sold-out “Dirty Dutch” house music event, attended by over thirty thousand music lovers. Dirty Dutch made its WMC debut at Cameo in Miami this year, featuring Chuckie himself, Estelle, Afrojack and Sidney Samson (among others), and he plans to bring the party to selected cities around the globe. Indeed, Chuckie is taking over the U.S. in 2010 with a freshly inked multi-album deal with Atlantic Records and work with stars like Jermaine Dupri, P. Diddy, Lil Jon, Toni Braxton and Akon.

Proton Sessions in the Basement featuring:

(Proton, Olaris)
Jacob Henry (Silk Royal, microCastle)
Matt Lange (Armada, Black Hole)
Dezza (Silk, Dezire)

Made Event presents the return of Coldharbour Recordings boss and new wave trance superstar Markus Schulz along with NYC favorite Zack Roth at Pacha NYC with a special Proton Sessions in the basement on Friday, May 7th, 2010.

Through his natural audience affinity, flawless mixing and innate tune selection, Markus Schulz has wowed crowds in every major area of the world for over a decade. Though an active DJ and producer during the 1990’s, it was not until the 2000’s when he began to reach mass audiences with his, now trademark, trance sound. Now a regular fixture at the world’s most famous clubs, arenas and festivals, Schulz lays down his unique musical vision on a weekly basis. In Europe, he has smashed events like Trance Energy, Nature One, Dance Valley, Creamfields and Global Gathering. At home in the USA, he has graced the decks of the colossal Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra Festivals, as well as the inaugural Electric Zoo.  After several significant showings in the Top 100 DJs chart, he now ranks as one of the top 10 DJs in the world.

On top of his globetrotting tour schedule, Markus manages to broadcast his weekly radio show, the Global DJ Broadcast.  The show puts a spotlight on Schulz dark, melodic trance sound on over 50 stations worldwide.  Now in its fifth year, the show has continued to be a beacon for an always-growing throng of trance & progressive dance fans.   His label Coldharbour Recordings also provides Schulz with a platform to release his own material as well as work from some of progressive music’s most gifted producers.  Now on the threshold of its 100th release “Dark Heart Waiting”, Coldharbour has firmly established itself as a premier destination for quality trance and progressive music.

Now, after 18 months of studio sessions, Schulz is set to release Do You Dream, the follow up to his 2007 acclaimed artist album Progression.  Since the earliest days of his label, fans and critics alike have seen Schulz as both the leading-light pioneer and ultimate standard-bearer of trance’s new wave. The album instantly absorbs the listener back into that world, delivering a masterful start-to-finish audio experience.  From the first track Do You Dream charts a tightly-plotted course uniquely his own, embracing housey percussion, swirling atmospheric progressive, drum & bass-ish bass lines, stunningly-cultivated vibrant trance riffs and a myriad of other sounds, effects and minutiae styles.  The album features some of the scene’s finest vocalists including Jennifer Rene, Justine Suissa, and Ana Criado and contains tracks which have been highlights of Markus Schulz sets since 2008, like “The New World”, “Perception”, and the album’s title track.  You can also check out Markus’ sound on his latest mix for April’s DJ Magazine, which marks the 15th anniversary of UK clubbing institution The Gallery.

‘Do You Dream’ will be released on June 12 on Armada Music.

Pacha NYC proudly presents
Toolroom Knights NYC

1 Year Anniversary
featuring music by resident DJ

MARK KNIGHT

Pacha NYC proudly presents the Toolroom Knights 1 Year Anniversary with resident DJ Mark Knight on Friday, February 26th, 2010.
My how time flies… and what an eventful 12 months it’s been since Toolroom Knights first rolled into the city, ready to launch their Pacha NYC residency last February.  Over the past year we’ve partied without pants, hit the dance floor with fake moustaches, celebrated the launch of Mark’s Toolroom Knights album, pulled out all the stops for his birthday bash, not to mention all the amazing talent brought in from far and wide and, of course, Mark’s marathon main-room sets.

The parties have been a real success, with Mark Knight bringing fresh, forward thinking music to the dance floor and injecting a much-needed dose of fun into Friday night New York City clubbing. Now it’s time to celebrate Toolroom Knights’ 1st anniversary with a 5 hour audio assault courtesy of the main man himself.   2009 was another stellar year for Mark.  He picked up a Grammy nomination for production work on the Black Eyed Peas’ multi-platinum album ‘The E.N.D’, stormed Beatport’s 2009 best seller list with 3 of the year’s most popular tracks; “Good Times”, “Music Matters”(One of DJtunez.net Top 10 Tunez of 2009), “Flauta Magica”.

Recently he also picked up IDMA nominations for Best Global Radio Show for his weekly Toolroom Knights radio show and his Toolroom Records is in contention for Best Global Label.  All in all it’s been a big year for Mark Knight & Toolroom.  They continue to pioneer a sound and attitude that’s gained respect from fans and industry people alike, hungry for the integrity of the label’s production skills and the quality of their parties.

THE PACHA NYC 4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Friday, December 4th, 2009

Happy birthday to US! Pacha NYC proudly presents our 4 Year Anniversary party on Saturday, December 12, 2009. This year we’ll be celebrating the momentous occasion with our original 2005 opening weekend lineup, resident DJ ERICK MORILLO along with very special guest, Mr. Swedish House Mafia himself, STEVE ANGELLO. Let’s hear it for 4 more years! 4 more years!

On this auspicious occasion, Pacha NYC president Eddie Dean says, “Music comes first and I think that as long as people keep following their ears, they will keep coming back to Pacha. We have exciting new DJs lined up for 2010 and we will keep bringing in the best for dance music lovers everywhere. A big thank you to all the DJs, promoters, agents, clubbers and staff that will see us through to the next decade of music excellence.”

Over the last 4 years, Pacha NYC has received many accolades including: International Dance Music Awards – Best U.S. Club and Club World Awards – Best Superclub 2009, 2008 & 2007, but the biggest commendation is the thousands of clubbers each weekend who congregate on the dancefloor in search of the perfect beat. In the last year, the launch of Pacha NYC Podcasts and Pacha NYC TV kept us connected with our DJs and our fans and we were pleased to announce new DJ residencies for Danny Tenaglia, Chus & Ceballos, and Benny Benassi, all joining our well-respected roster of residents Erick Morillo, Victor Calderone, Jonathan Peters and Boris. Now more than ever, Pacha NYC is poised to enter the next decade with the world’s most sought-after DJs and continued decadence in nightlife for the dance music loving masses.

Pacha will also be holding their annual Toys For Tots drive. Guests who donate an unwrapped toy will receive FREE ADMISSION BEFORE 12 MIDNIGHT! The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program collects new, unwrapped toys during the holiday season each year, and distributes those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community. Any and all toy donations are appreciated.

Tune Of The Week

Sunday, May 10th, 2009

Hello boys and girls, hope you all had a great weekend. We’ve reached the dreaded sunday, so we’ll once again be living on memories till next weekend. DJtunez.net was able to attend the Sander Van Doorn show @ Pacha this friday, so we’ll be posting up some pictures and videos of the event soon.

First of we want to thank you all for the votes, keep them coming. This weeks winner (what a coincidence) is the Sander Van Doorn Mix(Pt.2) of “Spaceman” by The Killers. The track received 32% of the votes. Coming in number two with 27% of the votes is the Dennis De Laat remix of 4 Strings classic tune “Take Me Away”.

With 16% of the votes comes the new track from Cliff Coenraad, “Gone South”. Cliff has put out a few great records already and if you haven’t heard of him till now, get familiar with the name because we’re expecting this guy to blow up soon. Returning to our T5T is Re-Ward, this time with his track “Black Jack”. The track collected 14% of the votes. Re-Ward is one of our favorite producers and hopefully we can hear more from him soon.

And with 11% of the votes is Micha Moor’s remix of ACK, Simon Point’s “Come With Me”, which was actually taken off youtube. This kind of bothered me, because as an artist, why wouldnt you want your music to be heard by the millions of people that visit youtube daily. But thats another story for another day. Enjoy your week, enjoy the new Top 5 Tunez and remember.. Listen, Vote, Be Happy.
