Water Taxi Beach Bar

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

img_1590

First off, I’d like to thank Tony the owner of the joint for the complimentary drinks and entrance. Now to the good stuff, this is the spot to be on any given summer night. The music is great, the atmosphere is fun and the views are better then any theme you’ll see in any club. If you’re out in New York City this summer, this has to be one of your destinations. Bring your flip flops, as this place is 90% sand 10% dancefloor, and there is no dress code. The staff is great and look out for their patrons, the drinks are reasonably priced, like you’d expect in any club. So if you want to see a great view of the city while sipping on a drink with your buddies or significant other, make sure you check out the Water Taxi Beach Bar @ 2-01 Borden Ave Long Island City, NY 11101. Check out all the pictures in the PICTURES link.

Deadmau5 @ Webster, Simon Patterson/Marcel Woods @ Love

Monday, May 11th, 2009

Big weekend coming up in the New York City area. Friday and Saturday(May 15th,16th)  you’ll get to enjoy Deadmau5 over at Webster Hall doing his thing. Friday’s show is $25, while saturdays will be $30 at the door so save yourself some money by pre-ordering.

While Saturday(May 16th) you can get to watch rising star Simon Patterson and electronic music legend Marcel Woods throwing it down at Love. As usual Massive Events is promoting the show @ Love, tickets are $20 and you can get them HERE.

Personally, I think the Saturday show with Simon Patterson and Marcel Woods will be more appealing, as you know most of the people will be at Deadmau5′s event, giving you a more personal experience with Marcel & Simon @ Love. Then again if you want to see the antics Deadmau5 pulls off at his gig’s you cant go wrong with that either. All in all, its a great weekend to love electronic music and live around the NYC area!
