Gabriel & Dresden throw down a mashup of Way Out West’s “Mindcircus”

Over 100 DJ’s played over the weekend at the Electric Zoo but, only a few of them can draw a crowd quite like this guy. His sets are always special (as you will notice after listening to this one) and that’s probably why he’s been DJ Mags #1 DJ for 4 straight years. Summer is careering toward its finish, which is kind of frightening, since many of us haven’t even gotten started on our warm-weather activities yet. MiM0SA crafts music for its own sake, defying expectations with genre-bending soundscapes, blissfully unconcerned with a world obsessed with categorization as a means of definition. Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area and currently residing in Los Angeles, MiM0SA began producing at the tender age of 17.  Blessed with an abundance of talent and an ear for sonic experimentation, this fan-favorite has quickly developed a name for himself as one of the West Coast’s top exports. This year, he released ‘58 Degrees,’ an EP of rare and beautiful tracks, evoking full-spectrum sonic brushstrokes hovering in the ether, on his own record label False Idol Musik. “I’m steering away from aggressive tones, but at the same time trying to find different avenues to get the same crowd response that a big bass drop would get,” he says.
