The countdown has officially begun; Electric Zoo, New York’s Electronic Music Festival is now only one month away!  This Labor Day weekend, September 4^th & 5^th , 2010, over 70 of the world’s best representatives of electronic music from around the globe will descend on the Big Apple for a holiday weekend full of great music, top notch production and impeccable sound.   This amazing lineup features a who’s who of electronic music heavyweights and legends gathered together for this one-of-a-kind spectacular event.

Now that the summer is officially in full swing, the 2010 edition of Electric Zoo is right around the corner and ready to provide the Big Apple with another dose of musical mayhem.  The 26 acres of lush greenery and stunning water views of Randall’s Island Park provide the backdrop for New York’s premier destination for electronic music over Labor Day weekend, September 4^th & 5^th, 2010.  With each passing day, not only does anticipation grow but the already massive collection of DJs, producers, and live acts scheduled to perform gets bigger, better and more diverse.

Electric Zoo: New York’s Electronic Music Festival returns to Randall’s Island Park on September 4^th & 5^th, 2010, over Labor Day weekend to once again bring the finest in techno, trance, house, and indie dance music.  After over 26,000 people celebrated last year’s inaugural festival, Made Event is proud to announce the initial lineup for the 2010 edition.  With over 50 artists performing over multiple stages, Electric Zoo is set to position itself as the preeminent summer destination for quality dance music in an outdoor setting.

Beginning on Saturday, September 4^th, electronic music pioneers The Chemical Brothers bring their one of a kind live show to the main stage for a rare performance that is certainly not to be missed.  The duo will be accompanied by three of the worlds most beloved DJ’s, Paul van Dyk, Benny Benassi, and ATB.

Then on Sunday, September 5^th the world’s #1 DJ Armin van Burren returns for another headlining appearance. The festivities continue with Above & Beyond, John Digweed, and Fedde Le Grand, with more than 50+ artists to be announced across multiple stages over the 2-day festival.

I’ve seen Markus Schulz live only once,last year at the Electric Zoo Festival, and he was amazing. He really know how to work the crowd, The Electric Zoo set was only an hour long so I can only imagine what his full set will sound like. We have no idea who’s playing yet, but the 2 day tickets are now available at their “early bird” special. The event will be on September 4th and 5th(Saturday and Sunday).

As some of you may know Armin Van Buuren is doing a huge celebration for A State Of Trance 450 staring April 1st in Toronto, Canada. On April 2nd and April 3rd he will be bringing the party to the party universe of the world,New York City. DJtunez.net will be attending both nights of the celebration. April 2nd the line up includes, Armin himself,DJ Eco,Rank 1,Menno De Jong,Roger Shah, M.I.K.E. and, Cerf & Mitiska. On April 3rd again will include Armin,Breakfast,Lange,Giuseppe Ottaviani,John O’Callaghan,Filo & Peri and, Alex M.O.R.P.H. This probably the biggest lineup of great DJ’s in one spot New York will see until the Electric Zoo comes around this september.

So MadeEvent has released it’s first piece of info about Electric Zoo 2010! The festival will be held on September 4 and 5 @ Randalls Island Park in NYC. The first ever festival in 2009 was amazing, so lets hope they can gather up a great group of DJ’s for this year’s party and make it better then last! Today we’ll focus on a resident New York DJ, some of you might of heard of him, he’s sort of a big deal in the scene.. His name is Danny Tenaglia, and his massive amounts of tunage are what makes him one of the more successful New York DJ’s. One of his first classic tracks was 1998′s “Element” , which is an amazing track, where the vocals actually take you through the elements of the record. His remix of Green Velvets “Flash” won him “Best Remix” at the UK’s Muzik Awards. The track again is amazing, also giving a sort of story, so “Camera’s ready, prepare to flash”!!!. One of my favorite’s from Danny is his newest production “The Space Dance”..
