Amber Lamps

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Well coming here, you know what to expect..anything and everything dealing with electronic dance music. But there are times when we have to broaden our horizons(See post below). I maybe one of the last people on the internet to learn about the Epic Beard Man aka Vietnam Tom aka Thomas Bruso aka Tom Slick. I am so slow that even my favorite rapper,Cam’ron, came across this and already made a record using the audio as the sample! Now I learned there’s countless parody songs made with this audio, and you can find all that on YouTube, but this is hands down my favorite. Enjoy…BRING THE AMBER LAMPS!

Thanks to my boy Davis for bringing this record to my attention

Now if you don’t know what I’m talking about here’s the summary:

Another EDM Sample In Hip Hop

Friday, January 15th, 2010

Well here’s another thing I never thought I’d see happen…Scooter being sampled in hip hop…yes that scooter. Here’s Cam’ron & Vado’s track “Bezel Up”. You might know cam’ron from making pink a cool color for dudes, the saying “no homo” and, songs such as “Hey Ma”, “Oh Boy”, “What Means The World To Me” among many others.

Here’s the original Scooter song “How Much Is The Fish?”

Cam’ron – Spend The Night

Saturday, May 16th, 2009

If you’re unaware you know that we do not post too much hip hop music, or any other music then electronic for that matter, here at DJtunez.net. But theres always exceptions, What we have here is Cam’ron’s track “Spend The Night” off his new album “Crime Pays”. Whats this track doing on here you ask? Well give it a listen, a lot of hip hop artist now-a-days find a way to bring in a “trancey” feel to it. This track really shows this off.

You might remember rapper T.I.’s track “Live Your Life”, which basically used Ozone’s
“Dragostea Din Tei(Numa Numa)” on its hook, except Rihanna sang and even Wiz Khalifa’s track  “Say Yeah” uses Alice DeeJay’s beat from “Better Off Alone”. Its good to see all music genre’s borrowing from other genre’s, it makes the music that much more fun. Anyway, Cam’ron has always been a trend setter musically and in fashion(He  made wearing pink “cool” for men). You might also want to check out his song “My Job”, which is the 2009 anthem for the working class. Enjoy.
