Getter (whose real name is Tanner Petulla) is a famous American electronic music producer and a DJ hailing from San Jose California. In 2012, Getter was signed to Firepower Records of Datsik adding to his existing labels including OWSLA and Rottun Recordings. Over time, Getter has managed to collaborate with some of the big names in the electronic dance music including Skrillex, Datsik, The Frim, and Borgore.
In 2016, the artist has been on a massive tear with no signs whatsoever of slowing down. Kill the Noise remix is his latest offering to the music enthusiasts. The remix contains slapping percussion and aggressive synths which makes it a unique flavored hit with a different taste from the original. Getter has become adept at identifying unused musical real estate and using it to rebuild entirely new and futuristic hits thanks to his current musical ideologies.
At the beginning of his career, Getter positioned himself as one of the most significant and consistent talents to emerge from the bass scene. In 2013, Getter released Thriller EP and I Want More, two Beatport-chart-topping hits. His tunes have been rinsed by Borgore, Datsik, Flux Pavilion, and Skrillex.
His abilities and production prowess were seen more in 2015 when his works were released under OWSLA, the inimitable Dance Music Label. Recently, Getter has allowed his musical evolution to take place. The eccentric social media dispatches and signature neon hair will be seen more in his forthcoming projects which seek to bridge the next phase of bass music production and the past waters of musical conformity.
The ability of the artist to dip into alternative states of creative thinking has been the source of inspiration and creative force. He has clearly understood his limits and is constantly finding ways to push through them. By far, Getter remains one of the unsung heroes of underground bass culture because he has executed precisely what the underground values the most. To a larger extent, Getter has ignored trends and curved his own path wide enough so that his fans can walk along with him as he moves on to the next stage.
Previous releases by Getter include Rip and Dip, Forget It, In The Cuts, 666!, Back, Blood in 2016; and Head Splitter, Mega Gun in 2015. He has also had numerous releases in 2012, 2013 and 2014. His fans are upbeat that more is to come from this ingenious artist and his love for electronic dance music.
